1. Who We Are

KeepStream is a mobile application developed by EGB Digital that turns saved articles, newsletters, and links into audio playlists and AI-powered briefings.

2. Information We Collect

Account Data

• Email address (via Firebase Authentication)
• Display name (optional)
• Authentication provider (email, Google, or Apple)

Saved Content

• URLs of articles you save
• Extracted article text and metadata (title, author, publication date)
• AI-generated summaries, categories, and tags
• Generated TTS audio files

Usage Data

• Anonymous analytics data (via Google Analytics / Firebase Analytics)
• Listening history and playback statistics
• Device information (OS version, app version) for error tracking

3. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide the KeepStream service, including saving and processing articles
• Generate text-to-speech audio from your saved content
• Perform AI-powered categorization, tagging, and summarization
• Manage your subscription and account
• Improve the product and fix bugs
• Send transactional emails related to your account (password resets, subscription changes)

We do not use your data for behavioral advertising, and we do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Third-Party Services

KeepStream uses the following third-party services to operate:

• Firebase (Google) — Authentication and anonymous analytics
• Supabase — Database and file storage (hosted on AWS infrastructure)
• OpenAI — Text-to-speech audio generation. Article content is sent to OpenAI servers for TTS processing.
• Anthropic (Claude) — AI-powered categorization, tagging, and summarization. Article content is sent to Anthropic servers for processing.
• RevenueCat — Subscription and in-app purchase management
• Sentry — Error tracking and performance monitoring (no personal data sent, only anonymized error reports)

Each third-party service has its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in Supabase, which runs on AWS infrastructure. All data is encrypted at rest and in transit using industry-standard encryption (TLS 1.2+, AES-256).

Firebase Authentication handles your login credentials securely. We never store your password directly — Firebase manages all credential storage and verification.

Row Level Security (RLS) policies ensure that your data is only accessible to you. No other user can access your saved articles, audio files, or account information.

6. Data Retention

• Account data is retained while your account is active.
• Saved articles and audio files are stored for as long as the items remain in your library.
• Deleted items and their associated audio files are permanently removed within 30 days.
• Account deletion removes all your data (profile, saved items, audio files, listening history) permanently within 30 days.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data at any time through the app
• Correct your account information through your profile settings
• Delete individual saved items or your entire account
• Export your saved items and their metadata

To exercise any of these rights, use the in-app settings or email support@keepstream.app.

8. Shared Articles

When you share an article via KeepStream, the following becomes publicly accessible via the share link:

• The article content (title, text, source URL)
• The AI-generated summary
• The generated audio file

Your account information (name, email) is not included in shared links. You can unshare any article at any time, which immediately revokes public access.

9. Children's Privacy

KeepStream is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will promptly delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via email or through an in-app notification before the changes take effect.

The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised.
