Audio Markers
Audio markers let you bookmark specific moments during playback so you can find them later. Think of them like highlighting a passage in a book, but for audio. This is a Pro feature.
Dropping a marker
While listening, tap the bookmark icon on the player screen. A marker is saved at the current playback position.
Adding notes
After dropping a marker, you can:
- Type a text note — jot down why this moment mattered.
- Record a voice memo — hold the microphone button to capture a quick thought in your own words. Voice memos are automatically transcribed so they’re searchable later.
Both are optional. A marker with no note is still useful as a “flag this spot” bookmark.
Finding your markers
Markers appear in several places:
- Seek bar — small dots on the playback progress bar show where your markers are. Tap a dot to jump to that moment.
- Item detail screen — scroll down to see all markers for that item, with timestamps and any notes you added.
- Library filter — use the “Has markers” filter to find all items where you’ve dropped at least one marker.
On the web companion
If you use the KeepStream web companion, your audio markers show up as highlighted passages in the article text, aligned to the corresponding section of the content.
Tips
- Drop markers liberally while listening — you can always delete ones you don’t need later.
- Voice memos are great for capturing reactions or ideas that come to mind while listening, especially when your hands are busy.
- Use the “Has markers” library filter to quickly review everything you’ve bookmarked across your collection.
