Course Presets

Each course can have its own default settings for playback speed and quiz difficulty. This saves you from adjusting settings every time you switch between courses. This is a Study Pack feature.

Setting presets

  1. Open a course.
  2. Tap the gear icon on the course detail screen.
  3. Adjust your preferred defaults.

Available presets

Playback speed — set a default speed from 0.75x to 2x. This applies to:

  • Cram sessions for this course
  • Lecture audio playback within this course
  • Regular article playback when accessed from the course view

Quiz difficulty — set the default question difficulty:

  • Easy — mostly concept and definition questions. Good for initial learning.
  • Mixed — a balanced blend of concept, application, compare, and true/false.
  • Hard — weighted toward application and comparison questions. Best for exam prep.

Overriding per session

Presets are defaults, not locks. When you start a cram session or quiz, you can always adjust the settings for that specific session. The course preset just determines the starting point.

Example use case

You might set a dense theory course to 1x speed and Hard difficulty, while a lighter elective gets 1.5x speed and Easy difficulty. When you switch between courses, the right settings are already in place.
